Job Context/Purpose
The role involves managing workflow, supervising team members, and ensuring production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. The role requires a highly organized, proactive, and safety-conscious Factory Floor Manager/Supervisor to lead daily operations on the manufacturing floor
Team Responsibilities

Production Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations of the UAV production floor, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to established processes.

Cross-Functional Coordination: Manage teams involved in mechanical assembly, electronics integration, subsystem validation, and final flight-readiness testing.

Scheduling & Resource Planning: Monitor production schedules, allocate manpower, and align resources to consistently meet output and delivery targets.

Quality Compliance: Ensure all production activities meet aerospace-grade quality standards, documentation protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership: Supervise technicians and support staff, oversee skill development, and drive performance management initiatives.

Process Improvement: Identify process bottlenecks and implement lean, efficient, and repeatable practices to improve throughput and reduce rework.

Safety & ESD Compliance: Enforce strict safety, ESD handling, and workstation discipline across all production areas.

Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, design engineering, supply chain, and procurement teams to integrate design updates and manage component sourcing.

Data-Driven Monitoring: Track production metrics, quality assurance data, failure trends, and test outcomes to support continuous improvement.
Technical Documentation Responsibilities

Maintain detailed records of production batches, component consumption, and assembly sequences.

Ensure accurate and complete documentation of quality inspections, calibration logs, and subsystem/flight test results.

Enforce end-to-end component traceability through proper labeling, BoM accuracy, and material tracking practices.

Coordinate documentation for internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections.

Manage document control protocols for engineering changes, revisions, versioning, and updated work instructions.

Ensure compliance with standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and internal QMS requirements through structured, auditable documentation.

Review, validate, and sign off on reports submitted by supervisors and technicians.
Educational Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering/technical field.
Experience
-
5+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in aerospace manufacturing, UAV assembly, or high-reliability electromechanical production environments.
Technical Competencies
-
Strong understanding of UAV systems, electromechanical integration, and aerospace manufacturing workflows.

Familiarity with assembly documentation, BoMs, work instructions, routing sheets, and engineering change orders (ECOs).

Working knowledge of quality standards, calibration requirements, and inspection procedures for aerospace hardware.
