Job Context/Purpose
The purpose of the job is to work with the team responsible for development, and integration of control systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) as an Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
• Define control system requirements and specifications for UAV projects.
• Perform Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) simulations for UAV systems.
• Develop and integrate dynamic mathematical models of aircraft components for simulation and analysis.
• Design, analyze, and tune control system loops across various subsystems.
• Conduct testing, troubleshooting, and verification to ensure performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with aircraft design and flight teams to optimize control performance and ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Coordinate project schedules, deliverables, and resources to meet milestones.
• Provide technical guidance and uphold design, documentation, and quality standards.
• Stay updated with emerging UAV control and avionics technologies through research and continuous learning.
Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Avionics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• Strong foundation in control system design, including flight, navigation, and communication systems.
• Proficient with MATLAB/Simulink, LabVIEW, and related modeling tools.
• Familiarity with flight controllers, HIL/SIL simulations, and UAV-specific components (actuators, propulsion units, sensors).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Effective communication and team collaboration abilities.
• Experience in leading or mentoring engineers within multidisciplinary teams.
• Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced UAV development environment.
